Policy analysis & dialogue

In addition to policy analysis, the Centre also conducts dialogues,
series of discussions including key note addresses, providing strategic insights and policy solutions to decision makers

Implementing target projects

The centre on very special and selective cases, implements targeted projects such as provision of basic school classrooms, health clinics and emergency services to critically identified, deprived and needy communities.

Senior Program Officer

A highly-motivated, team-oriented and resourceful Medical Doctor and Epidemiologist with over 10 years’ experience in treating patients for a variety of conditions, capacity building and medical research. Areas of interest include Medicine and Public Health (Research area is in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health), Bio-Informatics and Statistical Genetics. I am an expertise in Data management, including Geospatial, survival, Time-series analysis with R and Stata. I am also proficient in grant proposal writing, systematic reviews and manuscript preparation.

The institute organizes various dialogues and conferences as the platform for open discussions, exchanges and sharing of ideas and information on key and critical themes that concern the development of various African countries or the continent as a whole, The ACPD also invites well-informed experts and officials to make presentations, share ideas and make input on key policies

Trainings

ACPD training sessions are aimed at further building of capacities of various stakeholders and individuals of various
levels, in the understanding and upgrading
of knowledge on key development issues
confronting African countries and how
best to handle, confront and solve such
challenges. Training sessions include
skype input from various resource persons.
Where necessary participants at ACPD
training programs also visit action spots
and resource experts in order to enhance
further understanding and clarity

ACPD organizes structured research in specific focus areas related to key development concerns; including resource management, health, education,
security, infrastructure, and technology: The research is undertaken with the involvement of ACPD wide network of experts, researchers, academics and practitioners. Reports from research are promptly published for public use.
